These terms govern your use of Margo™. By using the app you agree to them.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. You must provide accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create. You grant us the limited permission needed to store, process, and display it back to you and to operate the features you use (including AI processing of your content to generate your results).

You are responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload material you do not have the right to share, or that infringes others' rights.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break security, no scraping or automated access without our prior written permission, no reverse engineering or decompiling the service or its underlying models, no disruption of the service, and no use for unlawful purposes.

Do not create accounts in bulk, share credentials across users, or circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or other technical access controls.

Prohibited content

You may not upload, store, or share content that is illegal, that you do not have the right to share, or that depicts or promotes the sexual exploitation or abuse of a minor. Other prohibited content includes material that is sexually explicit, violent or graphic, harassing, hateful, or that infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Uploaded images may be scanned against known-CSAM databases. We remove apparent CSAM, preserve it as required by law, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or relevant authorities.

Reporting and enforcement

If you encounter content that violates these terms, report it to our support address. We review reports and may remove content, and warn, suspend, or terminate accounts, at our discretion.

We may remove content or restrict access without prior notice when we believe it is necessary to comply with the law, enforce these terms, or protect users.

AI-generated content

Recommendations, tasting analysis, and concierge responses are generated by AI and may be inaccurate. Use judgment; they are not professional advice. Always drink responsibly and follow local laws.

Use of outputs

You may use the recommendations, tasting analysis, recap copy, and concierge responses Margo generates for you for your own personal, non-commercial use. You retain the benefit of those outputs as they apply to your cellar and your decisions.

You may not use Margo's outputs to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or benchmark any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model.

You may not use Margo's outputs, prompts, copy, or persona to build, develop, market, or operate a product or service that competes with Margo, or to study the service for the purpose of doing so.

You may not systematically extract, collect, or redistribute Margo's outputs — by scraping, automated access, or otherwise — for commercial purposes, dataset creation, or third-party use.

These restrictions survive the termination of your account.

Trademarks

Margo™ and the Margo logo are trademarks of Margo Knows LLC. Nothing in these terms grants you a right to use them. You may not use our name, logo, or brand to imply endorsement or affiliation without our prior written permission.

Availability and changes

The service is provided on an as-is basis without warranties. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may update these terms; continued use after an update means you accept the changes.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
